Thanksgiving break
This thanksgiving break was ok. So in thanksgiving for food we had, turkey, and we donât usually eat turkey so it was ânewâ to us. We also had ham. We have that every year of thanksgiving. We didnât say what we were thankful for though we just prayed. While we were praying I couldnât stop laughing because my uncles dog kept falling off the chair. She kept jumping on it and when she jumped she would fall off the chair and hit herself. My mom got mad that I kept laughing, but I couldnât help it! I blame the dog on this oneâđ»đ¶.
Across from the table I could see my older brother laughing too. We just laughed but now like laughing out loud. We like chuckled I guess I could say. And then right next to me I could see my younger brother, not laughing but giving me a nasty look. He has anger issues so I wasnât surprised that he would do that. I wasnât scared either. Then I looked up to my mom and she looked mad. Dang, that was a lot of writing for just us praying.
When we were praying my grandma was the one leading us. So we would be the âspeakerâ. She would say the first few sentences and we would say the rest. My uncles fiancĂ© was there, she didnât really know how to speak Spanish so she didnât pray but she was around the circle with us. As well as my aunts boyfriend. He didnât really know how to speak Spanish either so he didnât pray but was still around the circle. We have a huge family, and the amount of family that cake is only about 0.01% of it. I told you, itâs huge. And the amount that came was more than 30 I could say. So think of that being 0.01% of it. I found out thereâs more family in our family than I thought there would.
After we ate and all that the âdjâ (aka my aunts phone and the speakers) put our favorite type of music, reggaeton and Bachata. Everyone started dancing đ. But when that type of music came up it stayed until 4 am. My aunt and her friends and my uncle were dancing nonstop until 4 am. My grandma was still up, obviously, because she had to watch her daughter (my aunt) and her friends to make sure they werenât going to do anything dumb. Then when everyone was tired they went home. My uncle though stayed. My grandma told me that he fell asleep on the living room couch and that my aunt gave him a little blanket to stay warm. Then, my grandma told me that he fell off the couch in his sleep. I couldnât stop laughing. I started crying because of how hard I was laughing. He was so drunk he couldnât even get up in the morning. But he ended up giving up and left to work.
